Most commonly known as May's Birthstone, this lush, exotic, precious gemstone can actually be more valuable than a diamond if found with the proper shade of green. Their incomparable dark green color is produced only under extremely rare conditions, and because of this it can also result in tiny cavities and cracks within the stone. Inclusions are acceptable in even the most top-quality of emeralds.
